Norse Gods from Space

Thor2

Well… that’s how I understand the premise of Thor anyway – I am trying to think if I have seen the movie, I am sure I must have done at some point. Moving on swiftly to the nail blogging…today I have another polish for you from Dragonglass – this time from the Avengers Collection; this polish is called Thor. Here is the low down from the Etsy store:

Thor is a jelly-like polish with holographic silver and black glitters and some red glitters as well. It is inspired by the Norse god, Thor, especially his appearance in the Marvel movies and the Avengers. You can choose a 10ml or 5ml bottle.

The formula is 3-free and cruelty free. It is made in a smoke and pet free environment.

This is a limited run, once it is done it will have to be requested at a slightly higher price, so get it while it’s still here!

I did find the application of this polish a little tricky as the glitter was really dense BUT OMG it is just so sparkly and colourful it is so worth it. It has a textured finish which would probably take a few coats of topcoat to smooth but I loved it as it was. This polish is what I imagine space rock to look like – dark and magical, packed with glittering minerals.

What do you think of that twinkle? My camera had serious focus issues because of just how much holo sparkle was coming off of this polish in so many colours and angles. Can you believe this is just one coat? As I have only got a mini of this polish I decided just to do accent nails and paired it with Nails Inc The Serpentine which is a lovely dusty navy blue. The Serpentine could easily be a one coater but these days I usually wear at least two coats of a polish as I have found it extends the wear time of my manicures – I am really hard on my nails and even though I frequently re-paint there is nothing worse than getting a chip in the middle of the day, especially if you’re out and about.

So what do you think of this polish? Are you a fan of geek inspired polishes? What about my new black paper back drop… what do you mean you didn’t even notice?! RUDE! ❤
