Every Month is Oktoberfest

This BEAUTY is OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest which  is from the Germany collection. I got this polish along with Germanicure (from the same collection) and Tease-y Does It (from the Burlesque collection). They’re all quite similar vampy shades with beautiful glowy glitters in but at the same time they’re all a bit different. I will be doing a comparison between these shades and similar ones from other brands soon – so far I can report that I don’t have any dupes in my collection but I know it’s nice to see these shades side by side regardless.

I wore this colour plain for a day and then I decided to spice things up.

Using some french manicure guides I added some wavey stripes to my nail using Ciate Heirloom and Nails Inc Saville Row (on my ring finger). Saville Row was actually a bit too close to the colour of Oktoberfest in but it is quite a cool subtle difference too – good art for when you want something a little bit funky but not too overt. At the other end of the spectrum the beautiful glittery pink-gold duochrome of Heirloom makes this manicure seem really festive – I love these shimmering stripes and the contrast is lovely but the purpley pink in Heirloom is also very complimentary to the warm berry shimmer of Oktoberfest.

The french manicure guides are very sticky so I could reuse them on each nail with no problem – I have tried to use these before but have had problems with them lifting up the base polish (they’re that sticky) but they were absolutely fine so clearly leaving it for that full day to thoroughly dry is the trick.

I bought the ciate one when they had a flash sale and used it once… I can’t believe it’s been neglected for so long, the duochrome is just so lovely.

Enjoyed reading your empties post earlier! ❤
