St Patty’s Day Mani

Stpatty4 There are so many gorgeous nail art ideas out there this year for St Patty’s Day! I decided to do something simple using three green polishes – OPI Jade is the New Black, Color Club Fly With Me and Nails Inc Reagent’s Park Road.

I started with two coats of Jade is the New Black which is a lovely crelly formula and once that was dry I painted Fly With Me across one side of my nail and once that was touch dry I added the second triangle of Reagent’s Park Road; where these two shimmers overlapped they created another darker green which is super shimmery. Really quick and simple – no need to faff with tape or special brushes, just used what came with the polishes. Fly with Me is a relatively sheer lime green shimmer and Regeant’s Park Road has more of a glittery shimmer formula in a blue/teal base. I used topcoat to even out the layers.

I did consider adding some embellishment to the remaining visible Jade is the New Black but decided to leave it as it was and let the shimmer do all the talking. Would you have added something to this mani? What do you think? Have you done anything to celebrate this Irish annual holiday?

lol, I would have been tempted to add a small dot of gleamy/sparkley gold at the moon base, but glad you didn’t. Think it would have distracted too much from the greens. I like that vibrant green where all the polishes are.

This is cute! Sometimes a simple mani goes a long way! I like the 3 greens together.
