G is for: Goldeneye and Guy Meets Gal-veston

Gweek1 Double G coming at you today because hey, why use just one when you can use two?! Ever since I picked up the squishy jelly polishes from the OPI Texas collection I have been doing my best to think of ways to use them – lets face it I am pretty much all about the creme polish. When I was looking at my spreadsheet for ‘G’ and saw Guy Meets Gal-veston and Goldeneye I knew I wanted to combine them!

Gweek2I contemplated doing something fancy and faffy but in the end once I saw them layered together on one nail that was more than enough for me – they GLOWED. Guy Meets Gal-veston is kind of a pinky coral colour and would probably need three-four coats for opacity on its own. Goldeneye is an amazing foily flakey gold master piece which needs two-three coats (depending on how thin you apply). Ok, it’s a lot of polish once you count up the layers but because the layers are thin and dry really quickly you don’t notice and it’s worth it for the depth of the shimmery goodness too. I think I am up to about 6 layers of alternating polish colour on these nails (not including base or top) but you could easily get away with just two of each.

I am not sure what I am going to do for “H” next week… any ideas? As ever please do leave me any thoughts/comments below and don’t forget to check what everyone else has been up to and previous weeks posts using the hub page!

That’s a nice color. I think I have this one in my collection too.

I love reading your thoughts and will always do my best to reply, thank you!
