It is Halloween season so that means it is the start of all the holidays. Some people might think this post is too early because it is not the “holiday season” we are all thinking of but let’s think about it. What do we buy for Halloween? Candy! What do we do when we see a bowl of candy just chillin’ out in the open? We eat it!! Same concept happens for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. We slave all day in the kitchen for our guests and at the end of the day we just want to devoir the food you just made. Totally understandable. That is where the holiday weight comes in and I am going to share some of the tips I do. The NY Times did an article called “The Skinny on Holiday Weight Gain” and according to the article the average person gains about five pounds (or more) this time of year. I know what you’re thinking “five pounds isn’t a lot” but think about the amount of effort you need to put in to lose those annoying five pounds. They never come off as easy as we think they do. Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving are my favorite holidays. Thanksgiving Eve you just get blasted! Then on Thanksgiving you get ready, chill with family, and then your hangover thanks you for the amazing, delicious food! Best 24 hours ever! Here are my tips on how to keep those aggravating five pounds off.
In addition to my five tips don’t forget to up your activity level whether it is playing with little ones (kids, cousins, nieces, nephews), parking in the last parking spot in the lot, playing Wii or Xbox Kinect, or take the stairs instead of the elevator. Those sound super easy!
