A little group of friends and I decided it would be good fun to do a collab and settled on the theme of fruit – something fun and bright and open to lots of different manicures. I am not going to lie, I struggled with this manicure and even the final result I am not 100% happy with. I am not sure what I really wanted but I always try really hard for collabs and challenges so put a lot of pressure on myself to come up with something awesome. I ran out of time and inspiration so thought I would share with you the best of my mani attempts for this collab…
I started with two coats of OPI Toucan Do It If You Try which is a great slightly dusty orange from last years spring collection. Onto this I added an assortment of caviar balls, square rhinestones, a heart stuf and two fimo slices. This is my first time ever using fimo slices but these were really good fun and easily held in place by topcoat. This is probably the most 3D elements I have ever used in a manicure but it’s all about being bright and fun. I just used a little bit of topcoat on the end of a dotting tool to pick up and position the bits and pieces.
Then I used these orange cross sections from MoYou Tropical 07 on my pointer and pinky. So many fruit on this stamping plate and yet this is always the image I come back to – you can see it used HERE in another orange themed mani.
Looking at this mani now I actually kind of like it and it is totally getting me in the mood for a smoothie! I think perhaps I could have done a better job with clean up on these nails. ANYWAY, a good thing about these is they require no nail art skill at all and are very easy to go on both hands! I am feeling the monday gloom lifting… are you?
Hope you all had a great weekend! Sorry, no weekend nails from me this week but I do have lots of other exciting things in the works. What did you have on your nails this weekend?

I like your use to create this look section very much. Coming to mani. It’s very different from what I have seen and I really liked it.
Thank you Anita! It’s a new feature I am still working on but glad you like it! ❤
These are so delicious! I’ve never used fimo slices but I love this!
Thank you Karen!
It looks delicious! It’s hard to know how to incorporate limos sometimes but this turned out great.
Thank you! Yeh I can definitely see the challenge of using them.
How delectable 😀 I really like the combination of metallic studs and fruit for some reason!
Thank you!
How fun and cute are these fruity nails!
Thankies! 😀
Is it weird that I want to take a bite of your nails?? Lol, they just look so juicy!! 😉 Adorably fun!
LOL thank you! I just filed them down so there is no so much left to eat of them.
Love these fruit nails. I liked the way you used the fimos and caviar beads for the look
Thank you Manisha!
So citrus-y and fun!
Thank you!
So cute! I’m never adventurous enough to use fimos or beads like that. It looks so great in this mani!
Hehe I go through phases with what I like on my nails – at the moment I am all about the 3D elements but then I don’t have to worry too much about my nails being conservative or super practical. That said, I haven’t had anything fall off my nails for a long time – usually the polish chips first.
Such a fun and summer ready mani, love the little fruit fimos. I have so many of them but never know exactly how to use them lol.
Just stick ’em on there! 😀 That’s what I did anyway. I do know what you mean though.
Now I want a jamba juice lol. These came out super cute!
MMMMM SEND ME SOME JUICE TOO!
This is cute, don’t be so hard on yourself ❤
Aww thanks Manna!
I love how bright and blingy this feels!
Thank you! 😀
So Cool! The 3D stuff would drive me craaaaazy though. Looks great on you! You are always so creative
Aww thank you Amanda! I do my best to be creative with my nails – try and keep things as interesting as possible. Sometimes it works out well and other times…
3D stuff really used to get on my nerves too but now as long as its on my ring or middle finger it doesn’t bother me. I guess it’s just one of those things you get used to.
looking frutolicious 😀
I like this a lot! It’s bright and summery.
These totally have me in the mood for summer. Bright and fun!
How can you not like this?!?! I love it and think it’s adorable!! I love the 3D fruit and how you combined that with stamping!
Awww thank you Dani – I think I was just in a bit of a funk with my nails so being a Debbie Downer. You’ve all convinced me to feel the love!
I think this is fun and whimsical and happy! You’re too hard on yourself. 🙂
I love these! So cute and bright 🙂
