Into the Spook Zone (with Barrym)

Last week I did a really exciting thing; on Thursday afternoon I grabbed a train with one of my best friends and headed to London for a PR event… for Barrym. We hustled through rush hour along the Thames from Waterloo and headed for London Bridge. We passed The Clink, The Golden Hind and there with The Shard across the river we entered The London Bridge Experience. I’m going to share the pictures from my Instagram for this post, I wish I had taken more but like a bad blogger I was totally distracted by all the shiney things!

This is my first event for Barrym and I was super nervous about how to do my nails – I decided to reach for a classic and use Barrym Foil Effects Gold which was a gateway polish for me as it is the first polish I ever stamped with and stamping lead to this whole nail art addiction for me (while we’re thinking about this…Barrym are also the first polishes I bought at the beginning of my nail polish experience/life). I used the gold as a base for a change and added some lacey stamping (BP-02) and a black accent nail with some oil slick style rhinestones – I thought it suited the event pretty well.

Spooky green lights, costumes and the smell of nail polish – the event was a perfect combo of ghoulish chic. The products were a little hard to see in the light but thanks to the myriad of bloggers in attendance and camera flash we were making it work. Thanks to Barrym and the London Bridge Experience for a great introduction to the AW2015 line.

This line has a lot of natural and muted to it particularly in the makeup and in the nail polish there’s a return to the nearly black trend with 4 super vampy new gelly colours. Emma, from Imagination in Colour, had her nails painted in the green and it looked super pretty – although I didn’t do the application it looks like these are all we have come to expect from the Gelly line – smooth 1-2 coaters with a super shiney finish.

Really looking forward to getting my hands on some of these polishes – there are also more polishes coming to the Sunset Line and Quick Dry lines plus two limited edition sparkly jewel themed polishes.

How was your week/weekend? Are you looking forward to halloween? Have you tried any of these new polishes? Tell me EVERYTHING with a comment below!

It’s a British company but if you get chance to try the polishes out you definitely should!
